Moody street cat

I have loved you since the beginning of the internet.

This is my love letter to cats. Every single one of you.

Cat on street

Dear cats, I don't know when it happened. Maybe it was the first time one of you looked at me like I didn't matter — and somehow that made me love you more. This is for all of you. The strays. The ones on rooftops. The ones who never came home. You are the best thing on the internet and in real life.

Home.

Chaos.

Comfort.

Everything.

Moody street portrait

3:00 AM

She knocked my glass off the table. I thanked her.

7:00 AM

She sat on my chest. Best alarm clock I've had.

12:00 PM

Stared at a wall for 45 minutes. I watched her the whole time. Neither of us moved.

4:00 PM

Acted like she'd never been fed. I fed her again.

11:00 PM

Zoomies. Full chaos. Then curled on my lap. I didn't move for 3 hours.

"I hope someone is feeding you tonight."

"You don't need me. That's why I need you."

"Every city I visit, I find you first."

"You looked at me once. That was enough."

"Thank you. For everything. For nothing. Just thank you."
